Having your own personal blog is honestly quite a nice change of pace compared to Reddit. I could put a funny GIF of George Bush getting hit by a shoe on here and the worse case scenario is that no one even notices.
You put that on a big subreddit and you get your eyes gouged out and a heap of political discourse underneath your post.

it also made me very sad at one point one of the kids said her dad was being hateful towards drag queens and that he had a very skewed/incorrect view of what a drag queen was and wouldnt listen to her and told her she was “too naive” when she tried to explain
and i replied “if i remember correctly when youre at this age it seems adults will wave off any of your life experiences even if they lack their own because they refuse to see those younger than them as their own people” and EVERY SINGLE KID AT THE TABLE turned and said EXACTLY
and i was like. oh. so i wasnt alone in that. but also. i dont have to BE that. im not doing that. im listening and actually talking to them. i hope that there are older people in their life doing the same.
um. i dont know how to say. please listen to the children in your life. its true sometimes youll know better but, often times they have perspectives we may miss and dismissing them hurts everyone in the end. we have so much we can share and learn together.
One single republican decided to base his vote on a reasonable evaluation of available data and it quite possibly improved thousands of lives. I hope maybe in my lifetime I’ll see an America where that isn’t shocking for a politician to do, and maybe one in which people’s entire well being doesn’t come down to just one extra guy having a shred of decency.
Can you explain why the wild heart line is so meaningful? I think it's because I am not a native English speaker, but I don't fully understand what it means or why it's so important to TK that Carlos said that, but I would like to! Thank you
I think it’s just the context that he, in that same speech, admitted in front of a crowd how much of his life he has spent living in/being controlled by fear. I think we’ve had enough showing-not-telling after four seasons that we can safely interpret that Carlos has anxiety (the revelation in season 4 that he doesn’t like travelling because he gets homesick and stressed is a really good example of that), and so TK having a wild heart means TK is adventurous and fun-loving and spontaneous and that he makes Carlos feel safe just by being there with him in moments when Carlos doesn’t feel as courageous as he wishes he did. Carlos calling attention to TK’s wild heart is him saying “I’ve spent so long being afraid of so many things, but you make me brave”.
Carlos’s life was a 20 year drought and TK was the rainstorm that finally blew in and blew all the dust away and soaked the cracked soil and now his life is lush and green and full of flowers and he couldn’t possibly go back to before.
